After a cat fracture, the affected part often undergoes morphological changes, the affected limb is abnormally bent, elongated, or shortened; abnormal activities occur, and the affected part is tender when touched, and some have bone friction sounds. Here, the soft tissue of the affected area is swollen, the pain is obvious, and the open fracture still has symptoms such as external pain and bleeding.

The treatment of cat fractures should be based on the principles of rehabilitation, fixation, and functional recovery. First, the displaced bone should be returned to its original position by stretching, pushing, pressing, pressing and other techniques (anesthesia should be used before plastic surgery), and then fixed immediately. There are two fixation methods: external fixation and internal fixation. The former is mostly fixed with plaster bandages, splints and other methods. The latter should be carried out using various specifications of metal internal fixation materials. After the affected cat is immobilized, it can be placed in a cat nest or cage to limit its activities, and at the same time, it can be given anti-inflammatory and analgesic drugs. Kittens can generally bear weight after 3 weeks, but they must not be allowed to move freely for 6 weeks. While antibiotics are given to prevent and control infection, nutrition should be strengthened and vitamin A, vitamin D and calcium preparations should be appropriately added to food to facilitate the healing of fractures.
