Don't eat too much catnip. The scientific name of catnip is "nepeta", which is a kind of cat grass. Inhaling too much catnip may irritate its respiratory tract and cause the cat to have difficulty breathing; it may cause the cat to be overly excited; it may also cause the cat to lose interest in catnip. Excessive ingestion of catnip may cause vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness, and adverse effects on the cat's body.

What to do if a cat ingests too much catnip:

1. If catnip is sprinkled on the ground, take the cat to another room first. Or put it in a cage to let the cat calm down. You can directly open the window, sprinkle water on the ground or mop it to remove the smell of catnip.

2. If catnip is sprinkled on toys or objects, also put the cat in another room first. You can wash the object. If the object cannot be washed, put the object on the window. Immediately open the windows to ventilate the area and wait for the smell to dissipate. Until then, keep the cat away from objects.

3. If a cat eats too much catnip and has difficulty breathing, it should be sent to the hospital for treatment in time.
