The normal body temperature of dogs is divided into young dogs and adult dogs. Generally, the normal body temperature of adult dogs is 37.5℃-38.7℃, and the normal body temperature of young dogs is 38.2℃-39.2℃. Generally, a dog's body temperature is higher at night and lower in the morning, but it will not exceed 0.5 degrees Celsius.

Measuring the dog’s body temperature while exercising or in a nervous state will cause the body temperature to be too high. Therefore, such situations should be avoided as much as possible, and the body temperature will be measured after the dog is stable.

Three ways to measure a dog’s temperature:

1. Anal thermometry, that is, inserting a thermometer into the dog’s rectum to measure the temperature , this method is more accurate, but the operation is more troublesome.

2. Hind leg thermometry, which is to measure the temperature of the dog’s hind legs and armpits. It is best for the owner to reward the dog appropriately after completing the measurement.

3. Ear thermometers are often used clinically, just put them on the pet’s ears and press them gently.
