What do pugs eat?
Before the pug is three months old, it mainly feeds on goat milk powder and soaked dog food. After three months, dog food is mainly used as the main food, and some vegetables, fruits, canned food, pet snacks, meat and other foods are fed in appropriate amounts on weekdays, and nutrients such as vitamins, calcium, and trace elements need to be supplemented. It is not recommended that owners feed too much liver and raw meat to pugs, as this can easily lead to obesity and disease.
What Pug dogs cannot eat:
1. Onions. Onions contain sulfur, which can destroy your dog’s red blood cells and cause anemia. Onions are highly toxic to dogs. Eating too much can cause acute anemia and even be life-threatening.
2. Milk. Although milk has high nutritional value, dogs, unlike humans, lack the corresponding conversion enzymes and are not easy to digest and absorb. Some dogs will develop vomiting, diarrhea and other digestive tract diseases after consuming milk.
3. High-fat foods. Greasy food contains high fat content, which can make dogs obese and cause life-threatening pancreatic inflammation. Moreover, once a dog gets used to food with strong taste, it will cause the dog’s sense of taste to become stronger, forming a bad habit of being picky.
