The raccoon cat recognizes its owner. If raised from a young age, it will usually start to recognize its owner in about three months. It may regard the owner as its mother and develop dependence and trust on the owner. However, if they were not raised from an early age, the civet cat may only regard the owner as his friend or source of livelihood security, and will show a certain degree of obedience and will not attack the owner.

How a raccoon cat recognizes its owner:

1. Let you touch it as you please. There are many "restricted areas" on the body of the raccoon cat, such as the belly, paws, buttocks, whiskers and other parts, which are not easily touched by people. If a raccoon cat lets you pet it casually, and even often shows its belly to you and acts coquettishly and lets you pet it, then it means that the raccoon cat has recognized its owner.

2. I listen to you very much. The raccoon cat has a very high IQ, but before it recognizes its owner, its obedience is relatively low, and whatever its owner says will be heard in the left ear and out the right ear. If your white raccoon cat listens to you very much, responds to you whenever you call it, and is very obedient to you when you train it, then it means that the raccoon white cat has recognized its owner.

3. I am very dependent on you. The civet cat is a very independent cat with strong survival ability and good physical condition. It can survive well in the wild without its owner. If a raccoon cat is very dependent on you, always likes to nuzzle you, will act coquettishly to you, and will actively seek you out when it is hungry, then it means that the raccoon cat has recognized its owner. After recognizing their owners, raccoon and white cats will become very dependent on their owners.
