1. For young British Shorthair cats, please note that it is not advisable to bathe them before they are three months old. They need to be bathed after bathing. You can only take a bath after being vaccinated, otherwise the cat will easily get sick, which will lead to a decrease in body resistance and infection with deadly viruses such as parvovirus.

2. If it is the first time for a British Shorthair cat to take a bath, be sure to test the water before washing. Some cats are afraid of water and will violently resist when exposed to water. You need to pay attention to prevent being scratched by cats.

3. Use pet-specific shower gel to avoid irritating the cat’s skin.

4. After each bath, the owner should use a comb to comb the British shorthair cat's hair, because the cat will lick its hair during this period, and the shed hair will easily form into balls and be licked into the stomach by the cat, causing Hairball syndrome.

5. The water temperature for bathing cats should be appropriate. If it is cold, it will easily cause the cat to catch a cold, and if it is hot, it will easily damage the cat's skin.

6. After the cat is completely washed, use the cat’s pet bath towel to wipe away most of the water on the cat’s body, and then blow dry with a hair dryer.
