Signs of a dog lacking water:

1. Keep licking its mouth. When a dog feels his mouth is dry, he will subconsciously lick his mouth with his tongue.

3. The skin loses elasticity. Once the water in the dog's body is insufficient to meet the moisture needed by the skin, the skin will become saggy.

4. Pacing back and forth. When dogs are thirsty and cannot find a water source, they will pace back and forth and act irritable.

5. Barking incessantly. One of the signs that a dog is thirsty is barking, which is a reminder to its owner that it is thirsty.

Dangers of dogs lacking water:

1. Getting angry. If a dog drinks too little water, it will easily get angry, increase eye secretions, form tear stains, and cause constipation.

2. Hair quality deteriorates and hair falls out. Lack of water in the body will make the dog's skin inelastic, the hair quality will deteriorate, and hair loss will be serious.

3. Urinary stones. If dogs drink less water, toxins in the body cannot be excreted well and accumulate in the kidneys, which will increase the chance of stones in the long run.

4. Gastrointestinal diseases. Insufficient water in the intestines causes intestinal motility disorders and secretion disorders, which has a great impact on the intestines.

5. Heatstroke. When the weather is hot, dogs can easily suffer from heat stroke if they don’t drink enough water.
