How to deal with cat moss

1. Isolate immediately. Cat moss is infected by fungi, and cat moss can infect humans and cats. Therefore, owners should avoid close contact with cats infected with catnip and wash their hands frequently.

2. Find the location of cat moss. Scab and hair loss are common symptoms of cat moss and can be easily found. Cat moss will appear green when the cat is illuminated with a Wood's lamp.

3. Shave the cat hair on the cat moss. After shaving, it will be more convenient to apply the medicine. Before applying the medicine, use ointment to soften the hard scab, then use normal saline to wipe it clean thoroughly.

4. Apply topical hydrochloric acid and terbinafine spray to the moss on the cat 3 to 5 times a day. Remember to wear an Elizabethan ring on the cat to prevent it from licking.

5. Medicated bath. If the cat’s catitis is too severe, it needs medicated bath and oral medicine to treat it.

6. Take your cat to get more sunshine. Exposure to the sun is very effective in the treatment. You should also supplement vitamin B regularly.
