Kittens cannot eat egg yolks every day. Cats can eat egg yolks when they are three months old. Feeding an appropriate amount of egg yolks can promote the growth of the cat's hair and make the hair softer, but it cannot be fed in large quantities. The intestines and stomach of young cats are not fully developed. Eating too much egg yolks will cause gastrointestinal damage. It causes burden and can easily lead to indigestion, diarrhea, vomiting and other symptoms. Usually, cat food should be used as the staple food, and some vegetables, meat and other foods should be fed regularly to ensure a balanced nutritional intake.
Precautions for kittens eating egg yolks:
1. Do not feed raw eggs to cats. Raw eggs may contain parasites and must be cooked before feeding them to cats.
2. Do not add any seasonings when boiling egg yolks. Seasonings will increase the burden on the cat’s kidneys and easily cause the cat to get sick.
3. If the cat eats egg yolk and develops symptoms such as coughing and itching, it may be that the cat is allergic to egg yolk and needs to stop feeding immediately and send it to a pet hospital for treatment.
