How to raise kittens in rural areas:

1. You can feed kittens with the help of tools. Kittens generally feed on breast milk. If the mother cat is not around, you can use special feeding bottles, syringes, droppers and other tools to feed the cats. When using a syringe, you need to pay attention to the amount of milk pushed. Excessive milk flow can easily cause the cat to choke.

2. Pay attention to the feeding amount. Milk cats aged 1-7 days are usually fed once every 2-3 hours, 2-4ml each time. Milk cats aged 8-14 days are usually fed once every 3-4 hours, 5-7ml each time. Milk cats aged 15-21 days are generally fed once every 3-4 hours, 7-10ml each time. Milk cats aged 22-28 days are generally fed once every 4-5 hours, 13-16ml each time. Milk cats over 28 days old can be gradually weaned and fed with milk powder and a small amount of kitten food.

3. Keep warm. Kittens that are less than a week old cannot regulate their own body temperature, so it is necessary to prepare a cat nest with a temperature maintained between 30-35 degrees. But don’t put the hot water bottle directly into the cat’s nest to avoid scalding the kitten.

4. Help kittens defecate. If a kitten is unable to defecate on its own, the owner can moisten a clean napkin or medical gauze, and then gently massage the cat's butt with the moist paper napkin or gauze to stimulate the cat's defecation.

5. It is best for the owner to accompany the kitten to make the kitten feel safe, but do not hold the kitten with your hands, as this will make the kitten not able to rest well.
