You cannot bathe a cat that has just been brought home. For a newly arrived kitten, it has not adapted to the new environment and owners, and its immunity is also very low. Bathing and drying at this time are very severe stresses for it, which can easily lead to the cat not eating or drinking, Diarrhea, weakness, and even life-threatening conditions. Cats need time to adapt to the new environment and new owners when they first arrive in a new home. They can only take a bath after fully establishing a trusting relationship.

Things to note when bringing a new cat home:

1. Take it to the pet hospital for a detailed examination. If you buy/pick up/adopt a cat that is dirty all over, it means that it may have lived in a poor environment before, has a high chance of carrying parasites, or has experienced vomiting and diarrhea. If the coat is dirty, you need to take the cat to the hospital to check if there is any underlying disease.

2. Cats that have just been brought home should be dewormed. Cats usually carry bacteria or fleas. Cat owners need to deworm their cats internally and externally, and remember to wash their hands before and after interacting with cats.

3. Prepare a clean and comfortable cat nest for the cat that has just been brought home, as well as litter boxes, cat bowls and other necessary supplies to make the cat feel at home.
