The cost of raising a cat or a dog depends on how the owner raises them, and most of the cost items are the same, with only some slight differences. For example, raising a cat requires preparing cat litter and cat litter. A litter box is not required for dogs, but dogs need to be bathed frequently. Cats usually only need to be bathed once every three months. Cats eat less than dogs, but the same brand of cat food is more expensive than dog food.

Expenses of raising cats and dogs

1. Food. Cat food and dog food are necessities for raising pets. In addition, owners can choose to add some meat, vegetables, fruits, etc. to their pets as staple food, and they can also provide some snacks.

2. Supplies. Such as food bowls, toys, traction ropes, cages, cat litter, cat litter boxes, etc., are the daily necessities that pets need. Generally, except for cat litter, other supplies will not be consumed too quickly.

3. Health care products. Such as calcium tablets, nutritional creams and other foods to supplement pets' nutrition, as well as some care products for eyes, ears and mouth.

4. Take a bath. Owners need to bathe and groom their pets regularly, and prepare pet-specific bath liquids, towels, etc.

5. Medical expenses. It is inevitable that pets will get sick. Owners who are qualified will also take their pets for regular physical examinations. Some commonly used drugs should also be prepared at home, so spending on medical care is also essential.

6. Travel. Traveling with a pet may not be as convenient as traveling alone. Maybe the owner only needs to take the bus when traveling, but with a pet, you need to take a private car. And if the owner wants to move his residence, he may also need to pay for the transportation of the pet.
