What preparations do you need to make before taking your dog to the pet hospital?

In life, dogs will inevitably get sick, sometimes for minor illnesses, but for serious illnesses, they need to find a regular pet hospital. Usually, informal pet hospitals have several major characteristics: 1. Start diagnosis and treatment with just a piece of newspaper. 2. Prescribe medicines at will. 3. No formal invoice will be issued without clear charging standards. What hospitals are most afraid of are viruses and infectious diseases. So what preparations should owners make before taking their dogs to the hospital?

1. Bring a mat (blanket)

Pets who come to see a doctor are sometimes required to have an infusion, but owners usually don’t think of bringing a pad or anything. You must know that the infusion tables are made of metal, which are cold in summer, and the infusion room is not disinfected at all when it is busy. It is not hygienic to just put it on directly. Therefore, whenever you take an animal to see a doctor, you must bring a mat or blanket, preferably a small quilt. I forgot to mention that I also recommend using adult diaper pads. They come in two sizes: 60*60CM and 40*60CM, which are perfect for laying on the clinic table and infusion table.

2. Look for the nurse who is giving the injection

Some people may think that I am making a fuss out of a molehill. I have seen interns give cats and dogs subcutaneous injections until blood bleeds. There are also sealings. Wow, I am not trying to scare you. It is really shocking! This is true for injections, but for infusion needles, It really reflects the level of doctors. Some doctors are very skilled. I have never seen them perform a puncture twice and it was always successful the first time (I once changed a doctor and the puncture failed 4 times. If the skilled doctor is not available, we will wait until they come.

3. Try not to miss the mark!

There are so many people in the infusion room that the doctor can't always keep an eye on you, so we can only do our best to prevent unnecessary injections, because if an injection is given, it will be absorbed in a few hours, but it will be very painful. If you don't believe it, you can infuse it yourself. Try it. If the fluid runs into the muscles and a large swell occurs, will it not hurt?

4. The speed of infusion would rather be slower

Some owners see that the infusion is too slow, so they adjust it very fast, da da da da. If a person is infused too fast, he or she will die on the spot, let alone a small animal!?... Especially those who have just undergone surgery. Animals need to be very slow, as too fast can be fatal! Some drugs have relatively large molecules (like albumin), and can only be dripped a few drops per minute. If it is dripped too fast, the cat's heart will not be able to bear it at all. Whenever you see an animal panting, it must be going too fast. Infusion for 4 or 5 hours is nothing, so be mentally prepared.

5. Don’t go in groups

I saw on some websites that when weekends come, we make appointments to take them to the hospital for sterilization or disease treatment. In a small hospital, we even bring our pets to other people’s homes to see how they react when we meet. , this is very, very dangerous! Hospitals are places where viruses and germs are concentrated, and most of the pets that go to the hospital are to see a doctor. very easyCross-infection occurs due to brief contact. Such close contact is enough to cause cross-infection. This is certainly not what everyone wants.
