Nowadays, there are more and more dogs, and there are also many sick dogs. Even many places that sell pet dogs are infected with various infectious diseases, and the dogs are already sick before they are sold. So what conditions should novices know about before raising a Samoyed to avoid buying a sick one?

1: Lack of energy, body weakness, slow movements, tail shaking slightly or even motionless or drooping; smile on the face, no sullenness.

2: Dry nose and runny nose. This is a symptom of fever. However, your Samoyed’s nose will be dry when sleeping. This is normal and there is no need to worry.

Three: Abnormal defecation, with diarrhea and constipation. Sometimes the feces is as thin as water, and sometimes it is as hard as stone. A healthy puppy will defecate about twice a day. The color of the stool varies depending on the food, usually black or yellowish brown, and should be moderately soft and hard.

Lack of energy, dry nose, abnormal bowel movements

Four: Loss of appetite or rapid decrease in appetite. If the purebred Samoyed puppy eats dirty things or foreign objects that cannot be digested, the stomach function will be abnormal and the dog will refuse to eat or vomit.

Five: The eyes are afraid of light, have eye mucus, and even have conjunctival congestion.

6: Body temperature rises. The body temperature of a healthy puppy is about 38.5°C, and the body temperature of puppies is slightly higher. Generally speaking, a dog's body temperature is low in the morning and high from noon to evening, with a difference of about 0.5°C. Clip the thermometer I use to the puppy's thigh for 5 minutes. If the temperature is higher than 39°C, it is abnormal.

In addition, if there are abnormal phenomena such as coughing, difficulty urinating, ear itching, eating foreign objects, rubbing the buttocks on the ground, etc., they are also symptoms of the disease and must not be ignored or delayed.

Healthy Shenzhen Samoyeds are excellent both in appearance and inside. Such Samoyeds are also the most suitable to buy. However, if the Samoyed has health problems, it will not be like this, so owners should pay attention to the selection method, select the Samoyed based on the above characteristics, and make sure that its health is very good before starting. Just buy it. (Picture source: Internet)
