The reasons why cats have normal stool but have mucus:

1. When the number of parasites is large, it may irritate the cat’s intestines and mucus will appear. It can even cause diarrhea or vomiting.

2. The cat’s gastrointestinal tract is relatively fragile. If there is no transition period when changing food, it is likely to cause a stress reaction in the cat, which will irritate the gastrointestinal tract and produce mucosa.

3. Mucus in the feces may be caused by damage to the gastrointestinal mucosa. If it worsens, vomiting, diarrhea, and fishy feces may occur, which may be caused by gastrointestinal diseases.

Solutions for cats with normal stool but mucus:

1. It is recommended that the owner first take the cat to the pet hospital for a fecal examination to confirm whether there is parasitic infection. If found, deworm immediately.

2. If the cat’s food happens to be changed during this period, it is recommended that the owner immediately feeds the cat some probiotics to regulate the gastrointestinal tract.

3. If it is gastroenteritis, you need to use gastrointestinal anti-inflammatory drugs to relieve the cat, and take the cat to the pet hospital for examination and treatment.
