Pet cats cannot eat ham. Ham meat is not easy for cats to digest and can easily cause indigestion and other abnormalities in cats. The salt content in ham is very high, and cats have very low daily salt needs. Overfeeding can easily cause kidney damage in cats. It is recommended that cat owners feed their cats special cat food to ensure their body’s nutritional needs.

The dangers of pet cats eating ham and other pickled products:

1. There is a lot of salt in pickled products. Excessive salt intake will make the cat’s organs unable to digest these. Excessive intake of too salty food will cause metabolic disorders in cats, and they will easily lose hair and develop leprosy.

2. Cats do not have sweat glands on their skin, and the salt in the body must be excreted through the kidneys. If they eat too much salt, it will increase the load on the kidneys and lead to renal failure.

3. Excessive salt intake and the cat’s inability to excrete it normally will lead to dry, dark hair and hair loss.

4. The feces in the cat’s eyes increases, the traces of tears are obvious, and the eyes may even become red, swollen and blind.

5. It will cause cats to have serious oral problems, bad breath, indigestion and severe picky eating.
