Cat colds and sneezing are generally not transmitted to humans because the pathogens are different. This means that cat cold viruses are different from the viruses that cause human colds, so generally speaking, they are not transmitted to humans. Causes of upper respiratory tract infections in cats include rhinitis and sinusitis caused by viruses, mycoplasma, chlamydia, Bordetella septicarum, and certain species of Cryptosporidium. These bacteria can easily infect cats, and humans are also highly resistant to them.
The reasons why cats sneeze are:
1. It is possible that the owner did not control the water temperature during bathing the cat or did not bathe the cat in time. Use a towel and a hair dryer to dry the cat's hair, causing the cat to catch a cold. That’s why cats have symptoms of sneezing and runny nose.
2. Feline herpes virus is what we usually call feline nasal congestion. Cats may also sneeze when infected with the virus. It is also accompanied by symptoms such as elevated body temperature, runny nose, watery eyes, appetite and lack of energy.
3. When cats suffer from nasal diseases, such as rhinitis. It can also cause cats to sneeze. This is usually caused by damage to the nasal mucosa or infection by various pathogenic microorganisms.
