Home sterilization is unreliable. From a general perspective, door-to-door sterilization seems to save money and trouble, but the risk of surgery is extremely high. Precautions for cat sterilization:

3. Sterile environment. Whether it is humans or animals, any surgery requires a sterile environment. This is why it is divided into sterile area, contaminated area and semi-contaminated area. Sterile area can reduce the risk of infection.
