1. Head

Chow Chow's head should be relatively broad and flat, while those with long and narrow heads that are wedge-shaped, axe-shaped or triangular are generally mixed breeds and cannot be selected.

2. Tongue

The tongue of a Chow Chow should be blue, and the tongue should be red or pink or have red spots. They are all mixed breeds and cannot be purchased from humans.

3. Ears

The Chow Chow’s ears should be small, triangular, upright and slightly tilted forward, with a wide distance between the ears. The kind of ears that are large and droop downwards should not be selected.

4. Nose

5. Kiss

6. Neck

7. Limbs

The Chow Chow's limbs should be short and strong, with good standing posture. The forelimbs are straight with thick bones, the hind limbs have strong bones and plump muscles, cat-shaped toes, and thick pads.

8. Tail root

It has a higher position, its tail is rolled up onto its back, and it has long and fluffy feathers on its tail, making it beautiful and generous in appearance.

9. The whole body is richly coated

The coat of the Chow Chow is rich, dense, straight and long, bright in color, as soft as cotton, fluffy and soft. Especially the coat on the head and neck is as fluffy as a lion.

10. Coat color

The coat color of Chow Chow is single color, which can be black, white, beige, red, blue-purple, tawny, silver gray, but it cannot have magic patterns or mottled colors.
