Four reasons for pet sterilization:

1. Control the birth rate of pets and reduce abandonment due to excessive births.

2. Sterilization can reduce the incidence of reproductive system diseases, such as pyometra, ovarian cancer, breast tumors, testicular cancer, etc.

3. During estrus, pets will be irritable and restless, howling in the middle of the night, and have swelling and discomfort in their external reproductive organs. Neutering can reduce the pain of pets during estrus.

4. Neutering can appropriately extend the life of pets and reduce the number of stray pets.

Things to note when neutering pets:

1. Conduct a preoperative examination to assess the pet’s own health and whether it is eligible for surgery. Make sure your pet is healthy during surgery. Some pets with cardiopulmonary insufficiency may be at risk of allergic reactions to anesthesia and death during surgery. In addition, surgery is not suitable for pets during estrus.

2. Do not eat or drink 6 hours before surgery. Otherwise, the food in the pet's stomach may flow back into the trachea during surgery, causing suffocation.

3. Do not take your pet home when it is not awake. It is best to observe it in the clinic first to prevent accidents. After arriving home, choose a comfortable and clean nest and rest in a ventilated area.

4. It is recommended that pets be hospitalized for 7 days after surgery to prevent them from being too active to cause wound tearing or bacterial infection.

5. Wear an Elizabethan ring to prevent them from licking your wounds.
