Dogs spinning in circles may be caused by encephalitis, but it may also be caused by other reasons. Some dogs will circle before defecating; it may also be caused by parasites in the brain, and dogs are excited. When excited, they may behave like spinning in circles or chasing each other. If it is encephalitis, the neurological symptoms usually start from excitement and progress to depression. In the beginning, disorders of consciousness will appear, such as not recognizing the owner, biting, and abnormal behavior. In the middle and later stages, general paralysis, limb movement disorders, dilated pupils, and drowsiness will appear. Some encephalitis is also accompanied by symptoms of high fever. It is recommended that owners pay more attention to the dog's behavior. If there are other abnormalities, they need to take the dog to the pet hospital for examination in time.

Methods to prevent encephalitis in dogs:

1. Inject vaccines. Inject canine meningoencephalitis vaccine on time and with high quality and quantity, pay attention to deworming, and allow the dog to exercise properly and bask in the sun to enhance physical fitness and immunity.

2. Maintain environmental hygiene. The kennels are kept clean and sanitary and disinfected regularly. The kennel should be well ventilated, dark, dry, and provide plenty of bedding.

3. Develop healthy eating habits. Don’t let your dog eat indiscriminately. Feed your dog with a reasonable and nutritious diet, which will help your dog’s health and enhance your dog’s physical resistance.
