Clinically, dog nephritis is generally divided into acute nephritis and chronic nephritis. Treatment methods require intravenous infusion therapy to carry out antibacterial and anti-inflammatory, diuretic and swelling, suppress immune response and prevent the occurrence of uremia. At the same time, limit the salt intake in your dog’s food and give your dog some nutritious and easy-to-digest food. If your dog's nephritis causes edema or oliguria, it can be treated with intravenous diuretics or dehydrating agents such as mannitol.

1. Antibacterial and anti-inflammatory

Penicillin is injected intramuscularly, and ampicillin is injected intramuscularly. Note that kanamycin, gentamicin, and sulfa drugs are prohibited because they may cause certain damage to the kidneys.

2. Diuresis and swelling

Furanosine is injected intramuscularly, and the frequency of administration can be determined according to the condition.

3. Suppress immune response

Use dexamethasone intramuscularly and oral prednisone twice a day.

4. Symptomatic treatment

Symptomatic treatment mainly involves detoxification, heart strengthening and nutritional supplementation. Strengthen the feeding and management of dogs, keep them warm, and avoid strenuous exercise.
