Cat nasal congestion is not contagious to humans. Due to the special physiological habits of cats, it is only spread among felines. So far, there are no related cases of infecting humans or other animals, so feline nasal congestion will not be transmitted to cat owners. The causative agent of feline nasal bronchitis is feline rhinotracheitis herpes virus, also known as infectious rhinotracheitis. It is an acute infectious disease with strong upper respiratory tract infection in cats.

Treatment methods for cats infected with nasal congestion:

1. Isolate and disinfect to avoid secondary infection. Once a cat is found to have symptoms of rhinorrhea infection, the area where the cat has been must be quickly and comprehensively disinfected, the cat litter must be cleaned every day, and the sick cat must be isolated separately.

2. Take amoxicillin and antipyretic injection. Cats infected with rhinophyma felis will develop symptoms of sneezing, runny nose and coughing, which can be relieved by amoxicillin. Measure the cat's temperature regularly to ensure that the cat's temperature is not too high.

3. Cats suffering from feline rhinoplasty will be very weak and need to supplement a lot of nutrients in time, especially lysine. The supplement of lysine should follow the doctor’s advice.
