Category III exposure requires vaccination with rabies immune globulin in addition to vaccination.

What to do if a cat scratches and swells:

1. Clean the affected area. If your body is scratched by a cat, you should immediately wash the wound with soapy water for more than 15 minutes, and then use iodine and medicinal alcohol to disinfect it 2-3 times.

2. Apply medicine.
