Precautions for cat sterilization surgery: 1. Do not feed or water immediately after the surgery. Pay attention to the cleaning and care of the cat’s wound. 2. You can feed a small amount of water 4 hours after the operation, and a small amount of cat food two hours later. 3. Before the cat wakes up, you should let it lie down and take it home without holding it. 4. The cat needs to be deprived of food and water for 24 hours before the surgery, because the anesthetic will cause the cat to vomit, and if there is food, it will easily block the trachea and nasal cavity. 5. Take a bath one week before the operation, and do not take a bath for one month after the operation.

Post-operative care for cat sterilization:

1. After the operation, the doctor will prepare antibiotics or infusions for 1-2 days for the cat. The owner should strictly follow the doctor's instructions , regular feeding of medicine or infusion.

2. Within 2 days after surgery, you can choose some professional canned cat formula for feeding, or you can make your own nutritious meal: chicken puree + chicken liver puree + fish puree + eggs, mix well and cook , just don’t add any seasoning. In the future, you should ensure that the cat has enough food and water.

3. Do not force the cat to eat. Under normal circumstances, if there are no other diseases, it does not matter if the cat does not eat for several days. When its gastrointestinal function is weak, forced feeding can also cause vomiting. Cats have a strong ability to regulate themselves and will eat on their own when their condition is better.

4. The male cat needs to wear an Elizabethan ring to prevent the male cat from scratching or licking the wound, which may cause the wound to become infected and suppurate.

5. Do not bathe male cats after sterilization surgery. Bathing may cause wound infection and easily lead to colds.
