How to raise a Pomeranian dog to become a standard one? You want a Pomeranian dog to have a standard body shape and vitality, a plump body and sufficient hair volume, a docile temperament, a very energetic walk, and a cheerful expression. If you want such an excellent Pomeranian, what should owners pay more attention to when feeding it?

How to raise a Pomeranian?

1. The life of a Pomeranian must be regular. Feeding should be regular, quantitative, and nutritionally balanced. Pomeranian dogs cannot be allowed to develop bad habits of picky eating and lead to malnutrition. Care should be taken to prevent hypervitaminosis, especially vitamin A or D, or calcium deficiency. Pomeranians should not overeat. Generally, 7 to 8 minutes is enough. It is strictly forbidden to feed spoiled food. It is best to wash the food bowl after each feeding to prevent diarrhea or food poisoning.

2. Pay close attention to the Pomeranian’s urination and defecation conditions to determine whether it is normal. The number of bowel movements generally changes with the age of the Pomeranian. The average number of bowel movements per day for a 1-month-old Pomeranian is about 3 times per day for a 2-month-old Pomeranian. The frequency of stool is related to the type of food: for example, when feeding meat and rice, the amount and frequency of stool will be less; when feeding more starchy food, the frequency and amount will be larger. Pay attention to the color, smell and presence of worms in the Pomeranian's stool. Normal stool is strip-shaped, moderately soft and hard, and usually slightly yellow. But it is also affected by food. For example, if you eat a lot of meat or feed some liver, your feces will usually turn black.

3. Pomeranian dogs are afraid of cold, so whether it is winter or summer, you must pay attention to keeping your Pomeranian dog warm. Don't let your Pomeranian's belly rest on the ground for a long time, as this can easily lead to colds, diarrhea or a cold.

4. Pomeranians must be vaccinated against rabies and canine distemper, because canine distemper and parvovirus are extremely common diseases. Once they get infected, they will spend thousands on treatment, and most of them will die if they cannot be cured.

5. Eat at least one meal of dog food every day, buy a good brand, so that the Pomeranian will not gain weight and it will regulate its stomach and body, and it can also help grind its teeth.

6. Pomeranian dogs should drink more water. Prepare a bowl of water and put it on the ground every day, waiting for it to drink at any time.

7. Never give chocolate, grapes, onions, and garlic to Pomeranians. In severe cases, it can lead to death;

8. When the Pomeranian is older, take him out for exercise every day when he is half a year old. It will be good for his body and mood.

9. Play more with the Pomeranian, but don’t be too doting, otherwise the Pomeranian will treat you as a kindred spirit instead of its master. You should have the majesty of the master appropriately, but you cannot hit him.

10. Don’t bathe your Pomeranian too frequently. If it is dirty, bathe it once a week. Frequent bathing will destroy its immune system.
