Choose a lively and active cat based on age, appearance and size

1. Choice of age

Cats grow and develop rapidly 4-8 weeks after birth. At this time, their weight has reached 0.5-1 kg, and they have the ability to live independently - they can be weaned. This is the best age to buy a cat. If the cat you buy is too old, it will not be easy to establish a relationship with the owner. It will often hide in hidden places such as indoor corners or under the bed, or fight with other animals in the home, or even escape. Therefore, generally do not buy adult cats. However, if the kitten is too young and has no ability to live independently, coupled with a little inadequate care, the kitten will get sick or even die. Before buying kittens, find out about the mother cat. A mother cat should have a well-proportioned body, be healthy and disease-free, and have a high level of nutrition. Some people also like to buy the smallest cat in a litter for their babies. This is an unscientific choice. Because the smallest cat in the litter often sucks milk or does not eat enough food, it causes early malnutrition and underdevelopment. As a result, it either cannot survive or is prone to disease.

2. Choice of appearance and body shape

1. Ears

Cat ears should be clean and free of secretions. If your cat constantly scratches its ears or shakes its head, it may be infected with ear scabies.

 2. Nose

The tip of the cat's nose should feel cool and moist with the back of your hand, and there should be no nasal discharge or secretions around the nostrils.

3. Oral cavity

The mouth is large, the canine teeth are large, and the edges of the teeth are sharp. The upper palate is dark gray and the gums are light pink.

4. Eyes

The eyes should be clear and bright, with no secretions at the corners of the eyes (except for Persian and Himalayan cats), and the third eyelid should not be exposed at the corner of the eyes (the third eyelid appears first in many cats when they are sick).

5. Limbs

Strong and powerful. A ratting cat's claws should be very sharp.

 6.Anus

It should be clean and without symptoms of diarrhea, and the surrounding hair should be clean and pollution-free.

7.Abdomen

The cat’s abdomen should be slightly rounded, and the ribs cannot be touched. If the cat’s abdomen is enlarged, it may be a symptom of roundworm infection or peritonitis.

8. Hair

The most obvious health indicators of kittens are reflected inon the hair. A healthy kitten's coat should be shiny, fluffy, and stand erect. If the kitten's hair is messy and dull, it means that the kitten has been infected with a disease, or has been ill and has just recovered. It is best not to choose such a cat.

9. Posture

Tiger head, body and tail, strong body, solid bones, strong beard, moderate fatness and thinness.

10. Spirit

lively.
