Therefore, the animal protein in the food fed to male breeding dogs is higher than that of ordinary dogs, and they must be raised to be strong and not too fat or too thin. It is best to keep them alone and exercise regularly. Activities in large sports fields or outdoors 2-3 times a day, half an hour each time. During the breeding season, breeding male dogs and non-estrus female dogs should be penned together to stimulate the male dog's sexual desire. Within two or three days after the female dog gives birth, the feeding amount should be appropriately reduced, gradually increase after four days, and return to normal in about a week. During the lactation period, the female dog must secrete a sufficient amount of milk every day, so the amount of food and the frequency of feeding should be gradually increased to enhance nutrition. They should be fed 3-4 times a day and have enough drinking water ready to drink at any time. In terms of nutritional content, in addition to appropriately increasing protein and vegetables in concentrated feeding foods, broth or milk should also be appropriately increased. Some bitches, especially first-time bitches, do not have enough milk. You can try brown sugar water or glucose water and add vitamin C.

Puppies before weaning

After the puppies are born, they should be observed several times a day to prevent the mother dog from crushing the puppies. Newborn puppies cannot hear their ears and their eyes are closed. Puppies usually open their eyes between the 9th and 13th day after birth. The sound can only be heard on the 13th to 17th day. Before the puppy opens its eyes, special care should be taken for individual weak dogs. When the mother dog is breastfeeding, the weak puppy should be placed on the nipple with abundant milk. At the same time, attention should be paid to the inspection. If the puppy crawls out of the delivery bed, it should be returned immediately. Hearing does not take effect until one week after birth. Around 21 days after birth, the puppy can gradually walk. At this time, it is necessary to prevent running out of the delivery room. 25 days after the puppy is born, the appetite is particularly strong, and breast milk can no longer meet the needs. A small amount of milk, rice soup or some gruel must be supplemented, as well as a small amount of cod liver oil, fish meal and bone meal. Older dogs
