Cats are also pets that like to exercise. In the summer, the temperature is very high in most parts of our country, so it is inevitable for pets to suffer from heatstroke. This requires parents to do something about the symptoms and treatment methods of cats in their daily lives. Understand that if a cat suffers from heat stroke, you can help the cat in time.

Owners must master certain first aid methods to prevent cats from being in danger. If your cat has mild heat stroke, you must first lower the temperature of the space where the cat is as soon as possible. If it is outdoors, move to a cool place as soon as possible, then wipe the cat's body with a wet towel to promote the dissipation of body heat, and put the wet towel on the cat's head to speed up the relief of brain congestion.

If the cat’s body temperature rises, immerse the cat in warm water. When the body temperature drops to about 39 to 40 degrees, take the cat out to maintain body temperature. After the cat recovers, let it drink some water to replenish its moisture to avoid dehydration. Owners can usually use the following methods to prevent cats from suffering from heatstroke:

1. Prepare enough water for the cat.

2. When no one is home, you can close the curtains to reduce sunlight.

3. Choose some cooling mats for cats, so that cats will be more comfortable sleeping on them.

4. If it is a long-haired cat, you can shave it to allow the skin to better dissipate heat. In addition, if the cat suffers from severe heat stroke or coma, send it to the hospital for treatment as soon as possible after simple first aid.
