Phenomena of the end of childbirth in female cats:

1. The female cat has no responsible behavior, and her abdomen is obviously smaller and deflated.

2. After giving birth to kittens, the female cat’s belly will deflate and will not feel lumpy. Gently press the abdomen of the female cat's inner thighs with your hands. If there is no fetal movement and no lumps of flesh are found, it means that she has given birth.

3. Pay attention to check the number of placentas, which should be consistent with the number of cats.

4. Observe the female cat’s vagina. If there is no bleeding and no contraction of the lower body, it means the birth is over.

5. Stop twitching and enter sleep state. Because giving birth to kittens takes a lot of energy, they will stop twitching and go to sleep after giving birth.

6. Generally, female cats will no longer scream after giving birth, but will gradually calm down. If the cat still screams in pain, it means the birth is not finished yet.

Precautions for postpartum care of female cats:

1. Observe the kitten’s mental state, such as weak calls or frequent calls, or the kitten refuses to suck. If your breast milk, mouth, nose, or tongue are dark red, you should see a doctor promptly. If a kitten loses weight or becomes less active, attention should be paid to seek medical attention promptly.

2. Female cats tend to become more sensitive after giving birth, and often show uneasiness towards unfamiliar smells and people. After the mother cat gives birth, try to keep strangers away from the mother cat and kittens, otherwise the mother cat may move the kittens to other places.

3. Female cats are not suitable for bathing after giving birth. Although their bodies are very dirty, it is indeed difficult for them to come into contact with water at this stage. Therefore, try not to let cats come into contact with water, otherwise they will easily contract diseases during this stage of low body endurance.
