4. Prepare a clean mattress and bedding for the cat, so that the cat can have a comfortable sleeping environment after surgery.

5. You need to prepare a neck collar and pee pad for the cat. Avoid licking the wound. You need to wear a neck brace for a week after the operation. You may have urinary incontinence for a short period of time after the operation, so prepare a pee pad.

Precautions for male cats after sterilization:

1. You can eat only four hours after surgery.

2. Since I haven’t eaten for a long time after the operation, I am afraid of causing gastrointestinal discomfort. First, feed a small amount of water. After observing for a period of time, if there is no vomiting, you can feed more water.

3. If no vomiting symptoms occur after feeding water, you can start feeding. Also give a small amount first to see if vomiting occurs.

4. Do not expose the wound to water, keep it dry, and do not exercise strenuously in the first two or three days after surgery.

5. After surgery, in order to avoid wound inflammation or weakening of the body’s resistance, you should not take a shower for at least a month.
