Performances of weaning in female cats:

1. Reduce the frequency of feeding and the time spent taking care of the kittens gradually decreases.

2. Don’t get close to kittens. When the kitten is sucking milk, it suddenly makes a cry because the kitten's teeth will bite the mother cat.

3. She will exhale or pat the nursing kitten with her front paws. Some female cats will stay away from the kittens and will not sleep in the same nest with the kittens.

4. Female cats will grow deciduous teeth and claws from the age of 1 month. The deciduous teeth and claws will cause nipple pain in the female cat, and the female cat will choose to start weaning.

Kitten care precautions:

1. Milk cats need to be fed cat-specific milk powder or goat milk powder to replace breast milk before they are four weeks old. Cow milk is not allowed because Cats cannot digest the lactose in milk, and feeding them milk will cause diarrhea.

2. After feeding the cat, gently pat the cat’s back with your fingers to help the cat burp, so that the cat burps the gas.

3. Milk cats over 28 days old can be gradually weaned. You can use milk powder with a small amount of kitten food. The kitten food needs to be soaked until soft and fed 4-5 times a day. And gradually reduce the amount of milk feeding, increase the amount of cat food feeding, and the nursing cat can be completely weaned after 40 days.

4. The cat’s urine should be light yellow and odorless. If the urine smells pungent, the cat may be dehydrated.
