Prevention and treatment of scabies mites in dogs

1. Wash the dog's body with sulfur soap or shampoo containing BHC.

2. Dilute Shiliu mixture with 1:5 or use insecticides such as C-666 for medicated bath or application. Because the dog’s skin can easily absorb toxic substances and cause poisoning, the retention time of medicated bath is average. It should not exceed 30 minutes.

3. In order to relieve itching and promote wound healing, corticosteroids can be taken for 4-5 days, but long-term use can aggravate the dog's infection due to immune suppression.

4. For dog scabies mite papules on human skin, apply lime sulfur mixture.

5. Avoid contact between dogs and other sick dogs and livestock.
