Pomeranian parents reported that sometimes dogs will vomit. In fact, most of this is because the dog vomits after eating unclean things or having an upset stomach. This is a sign of self-protection. As long as you vomited it up, it's no big deal. Sometimes dogs will vomit after eating unclean things or having an upset stomach. This is a sign of self-protection. As long as the dog vomits, it will be fine. What parents need to do is also very simple.

1. Observe what vomit is

If it is food that has just been eaten and has not been fully digested, it should be that the food is difficult to digest, too hard, too large or too much; if it is food that has been eaten for a while and has been digested, there are several possibilities:

1. Food is unhygienic;

2. The food is not suitable for dogs (such as milk, milk contains many substances that cannot be digested and accepted by the dog's stomach, which will cause them to secrete too much gastric acid);

3. The tableware is unhygienic;

4. There is something wrong with the dog’s digestive system;

5. There are too many parasites in dogs, etc.

2. Pay attention to the time of vomiting and analyze the reasons

If the dog vomits too frequently, usually more than twice a month, it is a serious situation, and there must be a problem. It is recommended that parents take the dog to the hospital for a careful examination in time. If there is a problem, it should be treated as soon as possible. There are many reasons for dogs to vomit, and it may be a sign of illness. But as long as it doesn’t vomit frequently, you can rest assured, because dogs also have the habit of cleaning their own hair. When they groom themselves, they will lick in some hair. Some of these hairs will be excreted from the body, and some will accumulate in their stomachs. When the amount accumulates too much, the dog will vomit.

1. If there are no more serious symptoms, the dog should be fasted for 24 hours (puppies should be fasted for 12 hours). You can continue to supply water, but not too much. 50-100ml for small dogs and 200ml for large dogs. If the dog drinks the prescribed amount of water, the same amount of water can be given after 30 minutes, but not immediately. If vomiting stops, a small amount of easily digestible light food, such as scrambled eggs, can be given. Three small meals should be fed a day, rather than one large meal a day. The next day, if all is well, you can feed a more normal diet, but still in small amounts. It is best to wait another one or two days before fully returning to normal eating. For the first four days, only about two-thirds of the amount should be fed.

2. Generally veterinarians will not use antibiotics to treat cases of simple gastroenteritis. Aluminum hydroxide suspension is a good gastric sedative for dogs with vomiting. For small dogs, take one teaspoon three times a day. For large dogs, take a teaspoon four times a day. It can also be used for dogs with vomiting or diarrhea. Give kaolin, morphine or kaolin, pectate compound preparation (dose refer to aluminum hydroxide). It's best to have at least one of these on handin a drug.
