Some scientists say that the IQs of cats and dogs are the same (equivalent to a 3-year-old child). The difference lies in personality, especially in obedience.

As the saying goes, "Cats are traitors" and are often regarded as cunning, clever and solitary animals. They are often not easy to win the favor of humans. "A dog is a loyal minister" and will instinctively protect his owner to the death. Which of these two most common pets is smarter and cuter?

Daily life experience shows that cats will carefully feed their children, and dogs will take good care of their cubs. Dogs and cats both have ways of expressing their wishes to their owners, and they both have ways of waking up their sleeping owners in a fire to save them and themselves. Both cats and dogs have a reluctant attachment to their owners, but they express it in different ways. For example, a cat will bring a mouse it has caught to its owner's bed to show off its merits, while a dog will diligently circle around its owner. If they love home, they will find their way home no matter where they go, so there is this saying - "A dog remembers the road, a cat remembers home, and a child only remembers its wet nurse."

Researchers from the Russian Institute of Animal Evolution and Ecological Problems hid a moving food bait behind a screen and asked dogs and cats to find it respectively to test their intelligence. As a result, the dogs quickly won with their excellent sense of smell. This test shows that dogs will carry out instructions given by people without any conditions, so they are more suitable for skill training; cats will take action after making rational judgments, rather than blindly following instructions given by people.

Subsequently, the two were tested for their sense of direction. The result was that the accuracy of position judgment of cats and dogs was basically the same. However, the cat's activity space is three-dimensional, which means it is three-dimensional - because it can climb trees. This is because the brains of cats and dogs have different levels of development. A dog’s brain is twice as big as a cat’s, but a cat’s cerebellum is much more developed. The final result of the experiment was that the intelligence of the two was basically the same.

During the research process, Russian scientists came to the conclusion that dogs can be trained to act according to human instructions; while cats try their best to think rationally rather than act according to human instructions.
