Samoyed Puppy Feeding

At different stages of puppy development, the growth capabilities of various parts of the body are unbalanced. In the first 3 months after birth, the body mainly grows and the weight increases. From the 4th month to the 6th month, the main growth is the body length. After the 7th month, the main growth is the height. This depends on the different development stages of the dog's body. Nutrients are needed and the type and amount of feed to be fed is determined. After the puppies separate from their mothers and enter an independent life, they need to be supplied with sufficient and rich protein, fat, carbohydrates, minerals and vitamins throughout the growth and development period. Such as grain, lean meat, milk, eggs, vegetables, dried fish oil, bone meal, etc., and they must be eaten regularly and quantitatively.

Puppies aged 2 to 3 months should be fed 4 to 5 times a day. The daily allowance for each puppy is 200 grams of lean meat, 300 grams of milk, 1 egg, 250 to 500 grams of rice, 250 to 300 grams of vegetables, and salt. 3~5 grams, and supplement with appropriate amounts of vitamins and minerals, calcium powder such as super calcium, etc. If possible, you can give puppies some cartilage from pigs and cows to eat, but do not feed chicken bones.

After 8 months of age, the dog can be fed according to the adult dog’s dietary standards.

How to feed Samoyed dogs

Very young dogs should eat small meals frequently, 4 to 3 times a day under 3 months old. The most scientific thing is to eat puppy-specific milk powder (or use infant skimmed milk powder instead) soaked in puppy dog food and let it cool down. Do not feed your own food, as it may lead to diarrhea and other conditions. Only egg yolks can be fed, not egg whites. Don’t feed milk, don’t feed pork! In addition: onions, garlic and other spicy foods, chicken bones, etc., should not be given to dogs for the rest of their lives. As for liver, because it is very fragrant, dogs may like it very much when they see it. However, too much liver is very harmful to it, so be sure to eat it in moderation. In fact, if you feed Miaoxian Bao regularly, there are enough liver components in it, so there is no need to feed liver separately. In short, eating dog food + puppy milk powder is the most scientific, nutritious and healthy for puppies.

Feeding time: 7:00-9:00 in the morning, 2:00-3:00 in the afternoon, 9:00-10:00 in the evening

Note: Puppies that are 3-4 months old should be fed three to five times a day. Soak dry dog food in hot water until soft and let it cool down.

Precautions for feeding Samoyed dogs

The owner of the puppy should personally feed the dog at a fixed time, quantity and place every day. Do not give any food during non-feeding times to avoid causing the dog to develop bad habits. It is also necessary to carefully observe the eating performance of the puppies, especially during the period of group breeding, to prevent a few puppies from overeating, causing other puppies to be underfed and unevenly eaten. Because the digestive function of puppies is weak, the food they feed at the beginning should not be too hard, but more rotten (processed) food.

Do not feed hard or cold food such as bones too early to avoid affecting the dog's development.
