How to deal with dog trauma

After a dog suffers a trauma, if the wound is not treated in time, infection will occur. In mild cases, recovery will be slow, and in severe cases, it may even lead to death. Let’s learn how to do basic trauma treatment for dogs.

Item preparation:

Razor, gauze, saline, iodophor cotton balls, trauma medicine

Processing steps:

1. When cleaning a trauma, you need to remove 2-3 cm of hair around the wound

2. Then rinse the wound with normal saline. It is not recommended to use other irritating disinfectants

3. After cleaning, disinfect with iodophor

4. Finally, apply the ointment evenly to the affected area

Note:

1. Be sure to wear gloves when debriding to prevent cross-infection and further deterioration

2. Clean the wound and apply medicine once a day. Pay attention to the condition of the wound. If there is infection or deterioration, please seek medical treatment in time
