The most common pets that people keep are cats and dogs. In the past, most dogs were kept. Times are changing, and cat keeping has become a major trend. Now the cat raising crowd has caught up with the dog raising crowd. For cat raising, it is not easy to say that it is simple. Is it difficult? If you are a novice scrapper and just got a kitten, how should you raise the kitten?

First, physical examination. The first thing you should remember when you get a kitten is to go to the hospital immediately for a comprehensive physical examination, including weight and temperature measurement, fecal and urine examination, blood routine, internal parasites and ear canal examination, etc. If the cat is more than one month old, in addition to a physical examination, external deworming can also be performed.

Second, get familiar with the new environment and fix the toilet location. Cats are sensitive and slow to warm up, so give them time to adapt to the new environment and make them feel safe and warm. After the physical examination, the first thing you should do when you bring your cat home is to find the toilet and put it in the litter box every half hour.

Third, about deworming. Cat deworming includes: internal deworming and external deworming. Cats that are 3 months old can be dewormed internally, and cats that are one month old can be dewormed externally. For novices, there are a few points to remember: 1. When performing external deworming on a cat, in order to prevent the cat from licking, you can put an Elizabethan ring on it; 2. Strictly speaking, cats should undergo external deworming once a year. Deworming and one internal deworming are more appropriate; 3. To prevent Toxoplasma gondii in cats, it is recommended to deworm every three months. Adult cats that do not go out can do it once a year.

Fourth, about diet. Since kittens have very sensitive gastrointestinal tracts, improper diet can lead to diarrhea. If the cat has a severe reaction, do not blindly feed the medicine yourself, as it is likely to worsen the condition, and you should seek medical attention in time. After the kitten leaves the mother cat, it is not easy to accept cat milk powder or cat milk cake at first. At this time, the novice must be patient and arrange the kitten's diet reasonably. Regarding the diet of kittens, novices also need to remember the following points:

Cats under 1 month old can be fed cat milk powder or even baby milk powder;

Cat food can be fed after 1 month of age, and the cat food should be soaked in warm water until soft before feeding. After 3 months, the water can be gradually reduced until it is dry food; don't forget to feed water.

Fifth, about bathing. The resistance of kittens is very low, so it is not recommended to bathe cats that have just been vaccinated. It is best to wash them one week after the vaccination. If it is very dirty, you can simply wash it with dry cleaning powder. Regarding the diet of kittens, novices should remember the following points: 1. When using dry cleaning powder, be careful to avoid sensitive parts such as the mouth, nose, buttocks, etc.; 2. Short-haired cats should be bathed every 3 to 4 months or even once every six months. All are OK. Long-haired cats should be bathed every two months.
