Why does a dog have a bulging chest?

If the dog is thin, the chest will bulge a little, but the extent of the bulge is not very obvious. This is a normal physiological structure. If it is abnormally protruding, it may be caused by pleural effusion, sternothoracic deformity, pleural pneumocystis, tumors, hyperplasia and other reasons. After discovering abnormalities, you should seek medical attention promptly to avoid suffocation and death caused by accumulation of fluid on the lungs. If other bone protrusions occur, it is recommended to seek medical examination as soon as possible.

What to do if a dog has pleural effusion:

1. Actively treat the primary disease and provide protein-rich feed to maintain plasma colloid osmotic pressure.

2. Let the dog exercise appropriately every day, limit drinking water, and receive symptomatic treatment.

3. Blood transfusion therapy can be used to increase the colloid osmotic pressure of the blood. Vinegar therapy is more effective in treating exudative pleurisy and pleural effusion.
