The risk of dog neutering is not high. Neutering is a very basic and common surgical operation with relatively low risks. Before the dog is neutered, the owner needs to deprive the dog of food and water, which can effectively reduce the amount of vomit produced by the dog. Avoid the dog's estrus period, as dogs in estrus will bleed more.

Precautions for dog sterilization surgery:

1. Conduct a preoperative examination to evaluate the dog's own health and whether it is qualified for surgery. It is important to ensure that the dog is in good health at the time of surgery. Some dogs with cardiopulmonary insufficiency may be at risk of allergic reactions to anesthesia and death during surgery. In addition, surgery is not suitable for dogs during estrus.

2. Do not eat or drink 6 hours before surgery. Otherwise, the food in the dog's stomach may flow back into the trachea during surgery, causing suffocation.

3. Do not take the dog home when it is not awake. It is best to observe it in the clinic first to prevent accidents. After arriving home, choose a comfortable and clean nest and rest in a ventilated area.
