Cat hair loss is most severe in the spring from March to May and in the autumn from September to November. This is to better adapt to seasonal climate changes. The body will shed old hair and replace it with new hair. This is normal physiological hair loss. Kittens shed their hair for the first time around 4-6 months of age.

In addition to seasonal and normal shedding periods, factors that cause cats to lose hair include: malnutrition, parasites, skin diseases, allergies and other diseases, endocrine problems, etc.

If malnutrition in cats causes hair loss, it is recommended to increase the proportion of fish, chicken, etc. in the cat’s food. At the same time, letting the cat eat yeast will help supplement insufficient vitamin intake, which is very effective in preventing hair loss.

If you find that the cat has obvious hair loss, or there is obviously less hair in certain parts, it may be a sign of illness in the cat. It is recommended to take the cat to the pet hospital for examination.
