Methods to take care of newly neutered dogs:

1. Fasting for eight hours after surgery. Do not eat until the effect of the anesthetic has completely worn off to avoid vomiting, which may cause the vomitus to block the trachea and cause danger. After the anesthesia wears off, semi-liquid food is fed, and the dog’s feeding amount is reduced, and the usual feeding amount is resumed after defecation becomes normal.

2. Prevent licking wounds. Wear an Elizabethan band after surgery to prevent licking the wound and causing infection. If the pain is severe and the dog is emotionally unstable, you can ask the doctor to prescribe a small amount of analgesic medication.

3. Vigorous exercise is prohibited. Rest more after surgery and avoid strenuous exercise to prevent wound dehiscence. Male dogs can go out for a walk after one day, and dogs can go out for a walk after four days. They should be given some exercise to promote recovery.
