The causes of eczema are complex, generally related to allergic accompaniments, and under the action of external physical and chemical factors, such as mechanical compression, friction, bites, scratches, mosquito bites, certain internal medications, External application of drugs and disinfectants; factors such as unclean skin, irritation from dirt, moisture in the kennel and other factors stimulate the body, causing skin allergies and causing eczema. Deficiency causes low skin resistance and can also cause eczema.

Symptoms of eczema in dogs:

1. Acute eczema: At the beginning of the disease, the affected area is dotted or erythematous eczema with different shapes. Affected dogs may experience itching. As the disease progresses, papular, vesicular, and pustular stages may appear.

2. Chronic eczema: mostly caused by the transformation of acute eczema. Repeated stimulation and repeated attacks are characterized by thickening of the skin, desquamation, pigmentation, rough coat, inverse erection, and increased itching. More common on the back or limbs.

Treatment methods for dog eczema:

1. Sepukol: for external use, once in the morning and once in the evening, for 4-6 consecutive days. The frequency of use may also be increased depending on the actual situation. Apply to the affected area, then gently massage the affected area until the paste completely covers the skin. The coat does not need to be washed and dries naturally. If the dog accidentally licks it, it will not cause adverse reactions.

2. Adrenocortical hormone therapy: use dexamethasone tablets 0.2 mg/kg body weight, oral administration or prednisone acetate tablets 1.0 mg/kg body weight. Apply fluocinolone acetonide or triamcinolone acetonide ointment to the affected skin. To prevent skin infection, apply it alternately with erythromycin ointment.

3. In the pus cell stage, penicillin and gentamicin can be injected intramuscularly to prevent infection. In cases of severe symptoms, it can be mixed with dexamethasone injection and injected intramuscularly, twice a day.
