Rabbits need to be vaccinated 4-8 times in their lifetime. Vaccinations can begin after the rabbit is one month old. Veterinarians generally recommend the first injection of the rabbit-rabbit double vaccine, the Clostridium welchenii vaccine 14 days later, the rabbit distemper vaccine 14 days later, and the rabbit-pasteurella double vaccine every 6 months.
Precautions for vaccinating rabbits:
1. Rabbit plague and Pap double vaccine. To prevent pasteurellosis in rabbits, 2 ml of this vaccine should be injected subcutaneously into rabbits aged 40-45 days. Since the immunity is not strong enough, 2 ml of vaccine must be boosted when the rabbits are 60 days old.
2. Clostridium welschii vaccine. To prevent Clostridium welchenii dysentery, 2 ml of this vaccine can be injected subcutaneously into weaned rabbits immediately, and then once every 5-6 months, 2 ml subcutaneously.
3. Rabbit plague propolis vaccine. To prevent rabbit plague, 1ml of this vaccine is injected subcutaneously into all kinds of large and small rabbits. Immunity will develop after 3-5 days. The 40-45-day-old rabbits are inoculated with 1ml subcutaneously. Since the immunity is not strong enough, the cubs must be 60 years old. A booster vaccination of 1ml will be given at 1 day of age.
