The location of the injection in the rabbit depends on the method of injection of the drug. If the injection method is subcutaneous injection, it is usually selected under the skin on both sides of the rabbit's neck. If injecting intravenously, choose the vein near the rabbit's ear or the forelimb. For intramuscular injection, the thigh or butt of the rabbit is generally chosen, where the muscles are relatively plump. Owners cannot blindly inject rabbits. They need to be under the guidance of a pet doctor or have mastered the injection technique to avoid injury or death of the rabbit.
Precautions for rabbit illness:
1. Isolation
If a rabbit is sick, it needs to be isolated and treated, and the rabbit cage and all rabbit utensils must be cleaned and disinfected.
2. Treatment
Do not give medicine to rabbits casually. They must be taken to the pet hospital for examination and treatment in time.
3. Keep warm
When a rabbit is sick, its resistance will decrease. Keep it warm in time to avoid catching cold and aggravating the condition.
4. Diet
It is also necessary to prepare some nutritious vegetables and fruits for the rabbit to supplement it with nutrients in a timely manner and enhance its physical fitness, so as to restore health.
