Chinchillas usually do not bite people. Totoro has a docile and kind personality and is easy to get along with. But when someone provokes or hurts or scares it, it will bite because of the fright. However, the chinchilla does not really bite and will not bleed. Under normal circumstances, chinchillas are as docile as rabbits and will not bite aggressively. They are very cute. Many people like chinchillas very much and keep them as pets.

The reasons why chinchillas do not bite people

1. Chinchillas are vegetarian animals and do not have sharp teeth like cats and dogs. They are only used to chew grass food. "Golden Teeth" have no ability to bite people at all.

2. Chinchillas are timid by nature. They will only run away when in danger and will not confront the enemy head-on. The only measures it can take to resist the enemy are to spray urine and throw off its fur to escape.

3. Totoro has very low vigilance. It is very docile. In its eyes, everything is good. It will never do such sinful behavior as biting.
