Key points for selecting Bengal leopard cats:

1. Overall: The appearance is plump, full of muscles, and the body and trunk are strong and compact. The head is wedge-shaped, and the length of the head exceeds the width of the head. The head accounts for a small proportion of the entire body.

2. Ears: The ears are short, with broad bases and rounded tips. Viewed from the front, the ears should be located on both sides of the head as much as possible, and the outer edges of the ears should extend smoothly to the cheekbones; viewed from the side, the ears should point forward and be located at the top of the head (side).

3. Mandible: The lower jaw is strong. Viewed from the side, the lower jaw should be aligned with the top of the nose in a straight line, and the chin should be white.

4. Muzzle: Full and broad muzzle, prominent and tall muzzle (beard), and obvious cheek bones. The muzzle is slightly separated at the snout (beard).

5. Nose: A large and broad nose, and the skin of the nose should be immediately soft.

6. Eyes: The eyes are oval, very close to a circle. The eye sockets must be white and the eyes large, but should not protrude like insect eyeballs. The eyes are widely spaced apart and slightly slanted toward the base of the ears.

7. Coat: There are four dark brown stripes (or spots) from the head to the shoulders, and there is a white stripe from the inside of the eyes upward to the back of the forehead. The back of the ear is black with an obvious white spot. The body hair on the back of the body is brown or light brown, covered with regular brown spots. There are brown spots or half rings on the back of the tail, and the tail end is black or dark gray.
