Do not wear a collar for external deworming of cats. External anthelmintic drugs in the collar are generally very toxic to cats, and if the collar is in a moist state, it is easy to release a large amount of anthelmintic drugs in a short period of time, leading to drug poisoning. In addition, it is best not to bathe it for a few days before and after deworming, as this will affect the effect of the deworming medicine. Moreover, the dog’s body resistance will be reduced at this time, and it is easy to catch a cold if you take a bath.

How to deworm dogs:

1. Generally, external deworming is done about once a month, and internal deworming is done about once every three months.

2. For internal parasites, most of them are given anthelmintics. You can open the dog's mouth, put the anthelmintic medicine directly into the dog's throat, and then close the dog's mouth for about 10 seconds to let the dog swallow the medicine completely. You can also mix the anthelmintic medicine into the dog's food. It can take the medicine while eating.

3. For external parasites, we usually use drops, usually on the dog’s neck. This is to prevent the dog from vomiting after licking the anthelmintic.
