When the hamster kettle leaks, the owner can choose to buy waterproof tape to seal the leaking area of the kettle. If the steel ball at the water outlet is damaged, it is recommended to buy a new kettle directly. At the same time, you should also pay attention to cleaning up the water leaking from the kettle to ensure that the hamster's living environment is dry.

Precautions for drinking water for hamsters

1. The drinking water provided by the breeder to the hamster is preferably cold water. Hamsters are not recommended to drink tap water because tap water contains chlorine. and bacteria, drinking it directly will cause hamsters to have diarrhea or even die. Breeders should also not feed hamsters mineral water. Hamsters cannot absorb the minerals in mineral water. Long-term drinking will cause hamsters to suffer from stone diseases.

2. Purchase a ball-type drinking fountain. This type of drinking fountain can effectively prevent the hamster's body from getting wet with water and prevent illness.

3. When raising multiple hamsters, try to use a dedicated drinking fountain for each hamster to reduce the risk of cross-infection. If you keep multiple hamsters in the same cage, you should also pay attention to cleaning the hamster's drinking fountain every day and replacing it with a clean water source.
