Pet bullfrogs can recognize their owners, but it is very difficult and takes a long time to recognize their owners. This is because pet bullfrogs are cold-blooded animals and have no self-awareness, making it difficult for them to recognize their owners. However, pet bullfrogs have relatively developed senses, so if they are kept for a long time, they will become familiar with and remember their owner's smell and movements. They dodge or attack when strangers touch them, and their owners can hold them in their hands and play with them.

The correct way to raise pet bullfrogs:

1. Breeding box

(1) African bullfrogs have relatively large requirements for activity space, and generally The size of the breeding box required for a pair of African bullfrogs is 60×30×45cm, and the material can be glass or wood.

(2) African bullfrogs have strong jumping ability. It is best to add a cover above the breeding box to prevent African bullfrogs from escaping.

(3) Open holes on both sides of the breeding box for ventilation.

(4) Choose soft soil or coconut soil as the bedding material in the breeding box, and place a water basin in the breeding box.

2. Feeding

(1) When the body length is 3-9cm, the amount of feeding needs to be strictly controlled to prevent it from being stuffed to death. Generally, 10 crickets, 2 small frogs, or 5 small fish are fed every 7 days.

(2) When the body length is more than 10-20cm, feed food quantitatively. Generally, 2-3 mice, or 20 suckling mice, or 50 crickets, or 20 large loaches, or 50 barley bugs are fed every 7 days.

3. Management

(1) Change the water in the basin once a day.

(2) The temperature in the breeding box is maintained at 26-36°C during the day and 20-30°C at night. When the temperature is below 22°C, African bullfrogs become unresponsive, and when the temperature is below 15°C, their lives are in danger.

(3) When the litter becomes dirty or moldy, it needs to be replaced in time.
